Kerlson Pines Poll Hereford Stud was established in 1977. It is located at Clements Gap which is 16km north of Port Broughton and 40km south of Port Pirie in the Mid North of South Australia. Two hours north of Adelaide.

The 2600 acre property at Clements Gap is ran as a mixed farming enterprise, consisting of 1700 acres used for cropping. The farm receives an average rainfall of 325mm (13 inches) per year.

In March 2007 we were lucky enough to purchase the majority of the Wirreanda PHS cow herd. This has increased our breeding numbers to 160 females. The Wirreanda herd has been running for 46 years and these females fit into our breeding programme, adding a bigger genetic base for our clients.

All cattle are performance recorded with Poll Hereford breedplan for all traits and all bulls and heifers are scanned for EMA fat and intra-muscular fat. The herd is monitored negative 3, certificate number SIII for Bovine Johnes Disease.

Each year we sell bulls at Naracoorte and Dubbo Show & Sale, as well as selling bulls off the property, selling around 40-50 bulls per year.To view a selection of the current bulls we have for sale please click on the "Sale Bulls" link at the top of the pg.

We also participate in the yearly SA on property Beef Field Days held in February. On this day a selection of our herd is on display with a selection of bulls and females for sale. For more information please click on the "Field Day" link at the top of the pg.

We welcome visitors who would like to have a look at our cattle at any time.
